Medical Office Specialist (

Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesFull‑time (Monday‑Friday days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays.
- Work at the reception desk, answer phones, greet and communicate with patients and providers.
- Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Check‑in patients and properly document registration.
- Verify insurance and patient demographics.
- File and retrieve medical records/files.
- Perform copying and faxing duties.
- Collect co‑pays and cash from patients; obtain credit‑card authorizations.
- Enter charges and payments, balance the day in the computer.
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement.
- Perform other duties as required.
- One to three years of experience in a medical office setting (preferred).
- Experience using an EHR system (highly preferred).
- Experience working in a specific specialty (preferred).
