COMPENSATION commensurate with experience. Candidates will be required to participate in an onsite skills assessment prior to offer being made.

THIS IS AN IN-CLINIC (ONSITE) POSITION.

• Collecting and recording patient medical history
• Instructing patients on post‑operative care, medication use, contact lens care and exam expectations.
• Performing visual acuity testing, auto and Manifest Refractions (measurements for the glasses prescription), tonometry (measuring eye pressure) (Goldmann required)
• Measuring pupil size and reactivity using PERRLA
• Testing elements of movement (eye muscle function)
• Performing confrontational visual field testing, pachymetry (corneal thickness measurement)
• Performing dry eye testing including Zone Quick and TBUT, interferometry, brightness acuity testing
• Participating in light cleaning of the facility
• Maintaining a sanitized environment
• Performing corneal topography, retinal nerve fiber layer measurements, retinal thickness and topography, fluorescein angiography, B‑scan ultrasonography
• Assisting with contact lens fitting and instructing patients on insertion and removal of contacts.
• Preparing for and assisting with in‑office procedures including consenting patients
• Assisting with lasers or minor procedures
• Other duties as assigned by manager or designee

• This is a full‑time position and core hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Potential for evening and weekend hours as required.

• Travel to multiple locations is required.

• Minimum of one year experience working in ophthalmology
• Ability to navigate EHR software system
• Working knowledge of ophthalmic and medication terminology, equipment and CPT and ICD‑10 coding
• Working knowledge of basic ocular anatomy
• Preferred:
  Certification through JCAHPO and/or associate’s degree

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to perform manifest refraction is required.
• Ability to perform Goldmann tonometry is required.
• Ability to effectively multitask.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.
