About the Role
Engineering Technician at Tectonic Engineering Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, D.P.C. This entry‑level, full‑time position is based in Brandon, FL. The role involves working on wireless telecommunications, solar, and EV projects with engineers, designers, and construction teams.
Base Pay Range$22.00/hr – $24.00/hr (actual pay based on qualifications)
Essential Functions- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, construction teams, and designers on wireless telecommunications and solar/EV projects.
- Perform frequent site visits to gather project information, assist in design, inspection, and coordination of engineering and site acquisition activities.
- Draft and compile construction and engineering documents, reports, and other deliverables.
- Execute other related duties as required.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or related experience.
- 0–2 years of related experience.
- Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2024 or newer and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid, clean driver’s license and personal vehicle; able to travel for site visits.
The role often requires a stationary position and regular tasks that involve handling, inspecting, or feeling documents, materials, or equipment. The employee may need to move around on job sites, lift up to 25 lbs, and operate a motor‑vehicle. The role also requires communication via corporate email, telephone, and conferencing systems.
