Primary Objective
Model, teach, coach, develop and retain Aveda students who will be the first‑choice professionals for market‑leading salons. Graduates create guest experiences and provide services that meet or exceed Aveda Institute standards in technical skill accomplishment, guest service delivery, professional behaviors and productivity benchmarks.
DescriptionExecute the Aveda Story Board and accomplish learning objectives while motivating and amplifying students for technical skills, guest service delivery, professional behaviors and productivity benchmarks.
Responsibilities- Teach and coach technical skills: present and demonstrate technical education, evaluate daily performance, develop coaching plans, oversee haircutting, color, nail, waxing and makeup, coach in the moment and encourage innovation.
- Teach and coach guest service delivery: present and demonstrate guest service delivery, teach students to create the “Aveda guest experience” through the 12 points of difference, benefit‑based consultations and the guest service delivery wheel while achieving benchmarks, role model a guest‑driven environment and coach in the moment.
- Teach and coach professional behaviors: conduct daily coaching conversations regarding attendance, dress code and other professional behaviors, collaborate with Assistant Director and Student Records Manager to maintain academic records and retention success.
- Teach and coach achievement of productivity benchmarks: teach students to reach benchmarks, set personal goals and perform at or above standard, monitor performance against benchmarks and coach accordingly for improved performance.
- Work proactively with campus team to create “salon‑ready” professionals and execute the Aveda guest experience for all institute guests, provide and receive feedback, participate in training and development, participate in special events such as career fairs, student recognition and Earth month, identify and communicate opportunities that will enhance overall institute performance, maintain operational standards of visual presentation and cleanliness in the classroom at all times, and perform other duties as needed.
Commit to the environment and align strongly with the Aveda mission. Adhere to company policies and procedures, manage expenses within fiscal guidelines and participate in team meetings.
Minimum Requirements- 2+ years behind the chair.
- Cosmetology license in Florida.
- Passionate about learning and teaching.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends.

RequirementsOBJECTIVE:
Develop and gain competencies in clinic floor management, classroom management, classroom facilitation and advanced theoretical & technical skills. Complete within 12‑18 months. Collaborative Teaching modules, Aveda Men’s modules, Make‑up modules, Hair‑color System modules, Chemical Service modules and Haircutting System modules. Pass Make‑up Certification, Aveda Men’s Certification and Classroom Facilitator Certification.
