Fire Door Installer

The Role

We are seeking experienced Fire Door Installers / Maintainers to join our Fire Safety team, carrying out compliant fire door installation and maintenance within occupied and live environments.

The role includes installing, inspecting, maintaining and repairing fire doors across a range of properties including social housing, MOD, healthcare and education sites. Work will involve both team-based and independent working across the East Anglia region.

Responsibilities

* Installation of certified fire doorsets in accordance with manufacturer instructions and recognised standards, including Q-Mark and Certifire systems

* Maintenance and remediation of certified and notional fire doorsets, including re-lipping, installation of closers, signage and associated fire stopping

* Ensuring all work complies with FIRAS / BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations

* Identifying and correcting non-compliant installations to meet required standards

* Recording completed work accurately using fire evidence and quality assurance systems

* Maintaining safe and professional working practices in occupied buildings

* Covering works across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire

About You

As a Fire Door Installer / Maintainer you will have:

* At least 3 years’ experience in fire door installation or maintenance

* Good knowledge of manufacturer guidance, certification requirements and compliant installation methods

* Experience using fire evidence or audit software such as Plan Radar, Bolster, CCS Systems or Site Audit Pro is desirable, although training will be provided

* Interest in fire safety and willingness to develop technical skills

* Professional and reliable approach to work

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Full UK driving licence

* Own hand tools

We also welcome applications from composite door or uPVC window and door installers who want to move into fire door installation. Full training and support will be provided for suitable candidates.
