Join AgWest as a Shop Technician and play a pivotal role in our team. This position involves servicing equipment and components in the shop at our Neepawa branch. In the role of Shop Technician at AgWest, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of agricultural equipment, including tractors, combines, sprayers, and other farm machinery. You will work in our well-equipped Neepawa shop, providing top-notch service to ensure our customers’ equipment operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a wide range of agricultural equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on tractors, combines, sprayers, and other heavy‑duty agricultural machinery.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately identify and resolve issues.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and maintenance.
Must‑Haves
  • Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in agricultural equipment repair and maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
