Automotive Mechanic

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our Shop Team as our Automotive Mechanic. You will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team of technicians working to maintain all our medium and heavy‑duty construction equipment throughout the year.

• Service, diagnose, and repair heavy and light‑duty trucks, SUVs, and light trailers.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
• Accurately record repairs performed and time taken.
• Continuously review potential hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to high standards.
• Conduct vehicle and trailer inspections.
• Train and mentor junior apprentices.

• Must be a Red Seal Journeyman in the Heavy‑Duty or Automotive Technician trade.
• Previous experience in a heavy equipment environment is an asset.
• Class 5 license required;
  Class 1A or 3A license preferred.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Preference given to those able to perform safety certifications.

• This position typically involves working in a garage or shop setting, with exposure to various weather conditions and noise levels.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or more, with assistance) and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy‑duty mechanic trade.
• Strong communication skills.
