. IMAC Deployment Technician – Job Outline:
The IMAC Deployment Technician is responsible for the installation, movement, addition, and change (IMAC) of end-user computing equipment across client sites. The role supports hardware deployments, refreshes, relocations, and decommissioning activities while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, move, add, and change desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and peripherals - Perform workstation setups, relocations, and hardware refreshes - Disconnect, pack, transport, and reconnect IT equipment as required - Ensure proper asset tagging, inventory updates, and documentation - Provide basic troubleshooting and support during deployment activities - Coordinate with project leads and site contacts to meet deployment schedules - Follow client standards, security policies, and health & safety procedures.
Required
Skills & Experience:
- Hands-on experience with IMAC or deployment services - Knowledge of desktop hardware, peripherals, and basic networking (LAN, cabling) - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow deployment runbooks - Good customer service and communication skills - Ability to work on-site and lift/move equipment as needed
Communication will be via Teams and Outlook. Meetings are conducted remotely as this is a face-to-face role. New agents need to get used to using is their feet and their mouth because they're going to be walking around talking to folks face to face. Will need to be able to manage an iPad, manage a checkout system, and manage a like root-based map system.
It's not exactly all pen and paper. Someone does need to be able to use a cursory level of technology to succeed in the role. Training will be provided for first week.
