HR Support Specialist

As our HR Support Specialist
, you'll play a key role in supporting both HR and safety operations. From recruiting and onboarding to payroll and safety program support, you'll help ensure our workplace runs smoothly, safely, and with heart.

• Collaborate with department managers to craft and post job openings
• Screen resumes and coordinate interviews
• Conduct reference checks and deliver engaging orientations
• Ensure all new hire documentation and training is complete

• Enter and edit time data for payroll processing
• Resolve discrepancies through communication with staff and supervisors

• Help develop and maintain our Safety & Health Program
• Monitor on-site safety performance and identify areas for improvement
• Assist in investigations of incidents and near misses
• Collect and manage safety reports and documentation

• Support our HR Information System and Landscape Management Software
• Help deliver disciplinary notices and suggest HR improvements
• Maintain and update policies and procedures
• Organize staff events and team-building activities
• Assist with safety audits and other HR/safety duties as needed

• Certificate or diploma in Human Resources or Management (asset)
• Experience delivering presentations or orientations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse workload
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
