Your Opportunity
Dillon’s Transportation Field Services Discipline is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to fill an existing vacancy within our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

ResponsibilitiesProject Management and Delivery (Design + Construction)
- Lead and manage the delivery of transportation infrastructure projects in Manitoba, with a primary focus on MTI assignments, and additional work for municipalities (including the City of Winnipeg
) and other clients as required. - Provide technical leadership and oversight across project stages including condition assessments, feasibility studies, functional/preliminary design, detailed design, tender preparation, and contract/construction administration.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk; oversee resourcing, forecasting, and project controls to meet internal and client expectations.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams (transportation, municipal, structural, environmental, planning, and technical staff) to deliver coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
- Provide senior technical input and quality oversight for transportation design elements including highways, interchanges, arterial roadways, intersections, roundabouts, multi-use trails, transit corridors, all-season roads, and related infrastructure.
- Support and lead construction-phase services including construction liaison/advisory and construction observation (where applicable), including issue resolution, stakeholder coordination, and front-line communication with the project team.
- Engage directly with clients, agencies, utilities, municipalities, and project stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and maintaining strong relationships throughout project delivery.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of provincial and municipal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices relevant to transportation infrastructure in Manitoba.
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a focus on growing and maintaining MTI and municipal client relationships.
- Lead and contribute to proposal submissions (e.g., RFPs/RFQs), including scope, schedule, resourcing, fee development, and interview support.
- Support strategic account management through client engagement, understanding upcoming needs, and positioning Dillon for future work.
- Travel to project sites and other Dillon offices as required.
Leadership & Development
- Provide technical direction, coaching, and mentorship to engineers, technologists, and field staff, including supporting performance and career development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by strengthening internal processes, templates, and quality practices across design and field services.
- Contribute to Dillon’s profile through participation in professional associations and committees.
- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Manitoba (Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba), or eligible for registration.
- 10+ years of progressive professional experience, preferably with an emphasis on transportation infrastructure projects in Manitoba and/or within the consulting industry.
- Proven leadership capabilities and demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
