General Accountant

MWM Environmental is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our growing team in Brandon, MB. • Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements and reporting package
• Assist with the external audit process, including preparing working papers for the auditor
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accounting documentation
• Prepare and make bank deposits
• Respond to emails and phone calls from vendors, customers, and inter-company locations
• Administer corporate credit cards, including expense tracking
• Work with the Divisional Controller to prepare monthly reporting and provide operational reporting
• Errors or inefficiencies in spending, reporting, or processes are proactively identified and brought forward for improvement
• Provide coverage for other team members while they are away to ensure continuous business operations

• Business Administration Diploma in Accounting with a minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver? license and reliable vehicle
• CPA Designation considered an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Experience with Sage Intacct or BQE software considered an asset
