Role Summary The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations across two facilities located in close proximity. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant storage, handling, and movement of seafood products supporting in house production and distribution activities. The Warehouse Manager will lead warehouse teams, optimize inventory flow, maintain food safety and regulatory compliance, and partner closely with Production, QA, Logistics, and Procurement to support business objectives.
Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations across both facilities, ensuring seamless coordination between locations and alignment with in-house production needs
Lead, develop, and manage warehouse supervisors and hourly teams, promoting accountability, safety, and high performance
Plan and manage inbound and outbound product flow to support production schedules, inventory requirements, and customer shipments
Proactively optimize warehouse layout and space utilization across both locations, balancing the needs of Raw Materials and Finished Goods for both plants
Maximize utilization of internal freezer capacity through close collaboration with Food service, Retail, and Trading divisions, with the objective of minimizing reliance on third-party cold storage
Ensure the E3 warehouse operates at a target utilization rate of approximately 90 percent capacity, adjusting inventory flow and storage strategies as needed
Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of seafood products in temperature-controlled environments
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and strong system integrity
Partner closely with Production and Logistics teams to align warehouse activities with operational priorities and production demands
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, and all applicable regulatory requirements
Work closely with QA on audits, inspections, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor labor planning, overtime, and staffing levels to meet operational demands efficiently
Investigate and resolve operational issues including damages, shortages, space constraints, or shipment delays
Champion a culture of safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence across both warehouse locations
Support capital projects, equipment maintenance planning, and continuous process improvements
Prepare and analyze operational reports and KPIs related to inventory levels, space utilization, productivity, and service performance
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills 7-10 years of progressive warehouse or distribution experience in temperature-controlled & cold chain environments
Minimum 3 to 5 years in a warehouse leadership or management role
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Management program is an asset
Experience overseeing multiple warehouse locations is a strong asset
Strong understanding of seafood handling, cold storage, and food safety requirements
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Experience with inventory management systems and ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365
Forklift Operator license is required
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams including Production, QA, and Logistics
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment and on the warehouse floor as required
This position is based in a food production plant, with work performed on the processing floor. The environment may be cool (18°C or lower), damp, and involve exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment. Team members are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times to ensure safety and food quality.

The annual base salary for this role is expected to fall between $75,000 and $100,000.
