- Position: Full-Time Rapid Response Guard
- Site: City of Brampton - 150 Central Park Drive, Brampton, ON
- Hours: Continental Nights )
- Payrate: $19.10 / hour
- Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

- Location Scope: Provides a uniform security presence at the various City of Brampton locations including Rose Theatre, City Hall, Civic Centre and other Downtown Brampton facilities, properties, assets and events.
- Responding to and reporting all incidents of criminal activity, suspicious activity and hazardous situations.
- Unlocking and locking doors and offices.
- Providing access control.
- Providing a uniform security presence within various locations and customer service areas.
- Deterring and enforcing prohibited acts such as loitering, panhandling, smoking, skateboarding and cycling.
- Ensuring the buildings are secured after hours.
- Completing patrols with the use of an electronic guard tour.
- Work alone or in a team.
- Conduct proactive patrols, addressing policy breaches and noting facility concerns.
- Write detailed incident reports for all emergency and day-to-day activities.
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner without creating panic among the public.
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons.
- De-escalate crises, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Log in/out of key, radio and pager audits.
- Handle lost & found items and inquiries.
- Report unsafe working conditions in any/all departments.
- Provide first aid and medical response when required.
- Respond to all types of occurrences.
- Patrol interior and exterior.
- Minimum two (2) years of Security Guard experience in a municipal government or corporate environment is an asset.
- Dispatch and Mobile experience is an asset.
- Post-Secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Customer Service Skills.
- Valid Security License for the Province of Ontario.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's License.
- Provide 3-year clean Driver's Abstract.
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills required;
Bilingual and Multilingual applicants preferred. - Participate in professional development and on-site leveling system requirements.
- Complete all required site training within 30 days of on-site hire date.
- Additional job-related tasks and duties as assigned.
- Provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive.
- Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) Certification program prior to onboarding.

Education Requirements (All):
High School Diploma/GED.
Certification Requirements (All):
Valid G Licence, Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, Valid Ontario Security License.
