Role Description
Responsible for driving sales growth in Canada. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience and who can take a hands‑on approach to driving sales growth, who can effectively manage multiple sales managers, rep groups, maintain current customers, while growing new customer relationships in all channels to achieve company objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
3+ Years at a managerial level with national sales experience necessary
Proven experience in driving sales growth and performance
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with customers
Highly motivated self-starter willing to travel
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills with technical aptitude
Excellent teamwork and team-building skills
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
Solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software packages
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and direct agency sales principals and representatives to implement promotions and key account activity, to drive sales.
Develop and implement sales targets and margin plans to yield profitable revenue for the company.
Devise and implement sales strategies for the continued development for each channel, customer.
Ongoing analysis of all sales results and margins.
Regular business reviews with customer base to maximize sales.
Develop and maintain business relationships with key buyers senior, mid-management, key branches and various customer contacts.
Ongoing communications to internal teams, sales support staff, key account manager, CS, and Marketing, as required (i.e. key account activity, promotional updates, assortment changes).
Participation at applicable trade shows.
Ensure competitive comp shops are completed and reviewed with key buyers to ensure retail price positioning is consistent across the channel.
Key Activities
Ongoing promotional planning with customers.
Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues.
Digitalization Champion for all sales initiatives. Specifically, B2B Hub and CRM.
Maintain awareness of market trends in the industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives, and close monitoring of competitive activities.
Manage sales budget for all direct and indirect reports. Ensure ongoing review/updates with finance department to track spending and ensure budgets are in line.
