The Ten Plus Sales Representative is a focused, well‑organized, proactive and results‑driven individual. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of promoting Ten Plus Louvres, sun‑control devices, and custom metal products. Your primary focus will be to engage in sales calls and provide technical support to glazing contractors, other building envelope contractors and construction project managers to drive the sale of louvres, sun control devices, and custom metal products in the greater Toronto area and the province of Ontario.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of basic building sciences and typical construction details.
  • The ability to read and understand Architectural, Mechanical and Structural drawings, specifications, and the general tendering process.
  • Understanding of Building Envelope concepts and details, particularly as they relate to transitions between different components of cladding materials.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with agents and clients.
  • Proven track record in architectural sales, preferably within the glazing and building envelope industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.
  • Self‑motivated, results driven, and able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural sales.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail‑oriented and thorough.
  • The ability to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF.
  • Customer service skills and the ability to be persuasive, encouraging, motivating while problem solving and to represent Ten Plus in a positive and professional manner.
  • Great interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Command of the English language with strong numeracy, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of the manufacturing process, particularly in metal fabrications involving aluminum extrusions.
Duties and Responsibilities Contractor Relationship Management
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with glazing and building envelope contractors and project managers.
  • Communicate the advantages of partnering with Ten Plus Architectural Products Ltd.
  • Actively promote and sell architectural louvres, sun control devices and custom metal products to these contractors.
Sales and Revenue Generation
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure profitable deals.
Product Knowledge
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements.
  • Provide technical information and support to clients regarding our products.
Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer records and sales activity reports.
  • Prepare and submit timely sales forecasts, reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide post‑sales support and address any concerns or questions clients may have.
Market Research
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential business opportunities.
  • Analyze customer feedback and industry data to refine sales strategies.
  • Prepare promotional and technical materials for submittal to clients as needed.
  • Follow up on leads and quotes and actively participate in negotiating and securing orders.
  • Collaborate with the sales and estimating departments, providing technical input on bidding strategies and negotiation.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and stay updated on industry trends and developments.
  • Stay informed on market conditions and competitors' activities to ensure a competitive edge.
