Here’s what you’ll deliver:
  • Assist the Sales Managers and General Manager in the planning and forecasting of goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Assist with conducting monthly meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
  • Reach sales goals on strict timeline requirements.
  • Assist with training and support sales staff to reach target sales goals.
  • Grow revenue and profitability in sales territory.
  • Represent the Employer in a favorable light to all accounts, press and industry representatives at all times.
  • Monitor the performance of all Sales Department staff.
  • Regularly evaluate employee performance and provide periodic feedback alongside the Sales Managers and General Manager.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Ensure that all customers are greeted promptly and given fair estimates on time required for delivery of new vehicles.
  • Handle all customer complaints on a timely basis.
  • Spot-check quotes and sales staff to assure quality and timely delivery of key messages.
  • Communicate effectively with department managers and all employees
  • Keep abreast of new equipment, features and tools available and recommend purchases.
  • Ensure that the company floor, sales offices and outside lot area are kept clean.
  • Account for all documents; ensure that none are missing.
  • Work in strict compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC).
  • Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, the Employment Standards Act (ESA), the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Understand and comply with all federal, provincial and local regulations that affect service operations, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), waste disposal regulations, etc.
  • Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by management.
What you need to succeed:
  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Experience in the retail sales of motor vehicles.
  • A minimum of 3 years sales management experience.
  • OMVIC Certification is required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience required.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Ability to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to manage stress and work with tight deadlines.
  • Highly self motivated and directed.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision.
