The hourly wage for this position ranges from $31.00 – $44.00 and varies based on responsibilities and geographic location. The starting rate within this range will be determined by the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Summary

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations run safely at the most efficient level, while producing the highest possible production quality. This role services and repairs complex equipment and adheres to applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.

Essential Functions
  • Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
  • Checks and inspects assigned equipment during preventative maintenance and reports findings to management.
  • Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
  • Ensures machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended downtime.
  • Completes work orders and updates maintenance tracking system.
  • Responds quickly to issues or concerns that may pose risk to employees and rectifies immediate dangers.
  • Communicates existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
Qualifications

Education:

Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanics.

Experience
  • Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
  • Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
  • Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Experience in Industrial Maintenance with repair and troubleshooting of machine issues and breakdowns, along with general maintenance.
  • Experience welding with MIG and/or arc welding.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
  • Forklift and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
Functional Success Drivers
  • Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
  • Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
  • Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance with repair and troubleshooting of machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
  • Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welding.
  • Good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.
  • Forklift and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.
