Job Description

Join a leading company specializing in the manufacture of high-efficiency transformer units and power distribution solutions. We are seeking a dedicated Winder to help reduce electric waste through precise and efficient winding of transformer coils.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up winding machines to specifications listed on the bill of materials.
• Fit, align, and adjust components to meet unique customer orders for custom transformer units.
• Engage in brazing copper and welding aluminum, with training provided as necessary.
• Work collaboratively with an experienced winder during an initial buddy system training phase.
• Transition from manual to automatic machine operation as proficiency increases.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years experience in machine setup, adjustment, changeover, and troubleshooting.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with non-standard processes.
• Ability to read and interpret the Bill of Materials.
• Comfort with welding aspects of the job, with training provided.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of the winding process, especially related to transformers and power distribution units, is a plus.

Work Environment

Work the afternoon shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday to Friday. Be prepared for potential extra hours as needed. Join a diverse team of 10-12 winders and 5-8 assemblers in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BRAMPTON, ON.

The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in BRAMPTON,ON.
