Accountabilities:
- Lead/direct project managers, senior project managers and coordinators through the MOH and Infrastructure Ontario’s capital planning and implementation process including business case development, functional programming, design, contract document development, and construction procurement and implementation
- Lead/manage all required process procurement requirements (with assistance from SSW) including RFP development and contract management for prime consultants/architects, engineering consultants and cost consultants
- Expertise in code, commissioning, public art, etc.
- Provide regular status reports, Board updates and other requested materials for all projects to the AVP, Redevelopment
- Facilitate regular performance management duties with direct reports aligned to organizational development processes
- Provide professional guidance and support to other corporate projects to support internal space objectives
- Lead all current redevelopment projects though planning and implementation
- Support other Osler construction projects and reporting
- Team performance and professional development
- University degree in architecture, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Construction Management Certificate an asset
- Project Management Professional an asset
- Five to ten years of project management experience, minimum of five of those years in health care and capital development project management
- Project management practices and principles
- Construction management practices and principals
- An in-depth knowledge of hospital building systems and the operational requirements to support them
- Excellent understanding of the OBC, CSA standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, IPAC measures during construction
- BPS, Infrastructure Ontario and MOH capital planning and procurement policies
- Hospital administration and governance
- Related software competencies in MS Project
- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Auto-Cad
- Progressive leadership abilities including staff professional development support, coaching and performance management
- Experience with the Ministry of Health capital planning process
