Key Responsibilities
Deliver course content in accordance with approved curriculum and program outcomesDevelop lesson plans and instructional materials using appropriate adult-learning methodologiesMonitor, assess, and document student progress; provide feedback and guidance as requiredMaintain accurate attendance, grading, and academic records within established timelinesParticipate in curriculum review, instructional evaluations, and program improvement initiativesCommunicate course-related concerns or operational issues to the Campus Director/CoordinatorMaintain current knowledge of industry practices and emerging trendsEnsure professional conduct consistent with institutional standards and student support valuesArrange make-up classes when required and update course materials as necessaryQualifications
Degree, diploma, or certification in a relevant disciplineMinimum five (5) years of professional experience in counseling or addictions support (non-teaching)Instructional or facilitation experience preferredTrain-the-Trainer or equivalent instructional certification considered an assetCertifications such as ASIST, Suicide Intervention, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention preferredCanadian Addiction Counsellors Certification considered an assetDemonstrated communication, facilitation, and student engagement skillsCommitment to professional development and continuous improvementDon’t hold back!—apply today, even if you do not tick every skills list.
