Real Estate Property Accountant (Residential)

We are seeking a Residential Property Accountant to manage financial operations across a diverse real estate portfolio, including market‑rate, mixed‑use, and affordable housing properties. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with audit requirements, and maintaining the financial health of residential assets. The position offers a competitive salary of up to $95,000 per year, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

• Manage monthly accounting processes including rent postings, lease adjustments, reconciliations, journal entries, and payments (mortgages, taxes, fees)
• Complete month‑end closings, prepare lender and investor reports, and support year‑end audits
• Monitor property‑level cash flow, process fund transfers and distributions, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Maintain compliance with company standards and accounting best practices

• 2+ years of residential property accounting experience
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience
• Prior experience working with Yardi software

• Exposure to mixed‑use or affordable housing accounting
• Experience preparing financial packages for investors or lenders
• Knowledge of GAAP principles in real estate accounting
