Quality Inspector

Position: Quality Inspector (Permanent)
Quality Inspector - Braintree - Manufacturing - up to £30,000

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Inspector to support the SHEQ Manager and manage day-to-day quality activities across incoming goods, production, warehouse stock, and customer returns.

This role suits someone practical, organised, and comfortable working across inspection, testing, documentation, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection of incoming goods from UK, Europe, and China
Periodic inspection of in-house assembly and custom builds
Mechanical and electrical testing of products, including R&D support
Calibration and control of tools, gauges, and electrical equipment
Processing customer returns and maintaining accurate records
Management of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and supplier liaison
Creation and maintenance of Declarations of Conformity
Supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISOand Kitemark compliance
Assisting with internal and external audits and quality documentation
Managing WEEE waste, scrap material, and QA housekeeping
Training staff on quality-related matters and generating quality reports

About You

The successful Quality Inspector will have:

Experience in a quality inspection, QC, or QA role
Background in manufacturing, electronics, electrical, or mechanical environments
Practical knowledge of inspection, testing, calibration, and NCRs
Working knowledge of ISOdesirable)
Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach
