Panel Wire person | Braintree | up to £32,000 | Early finish on Friday

We are recruiting a skilled Panel Wire person to assemble, wire, and test low-voltage electrical distribution panels in a busy workshop environment. This is a hands-on role requiring high standards of work, accuracy, and safety.

The Role

As a Panel Wire person, you will build electrical panels and assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring work is completed safely, neatly, and to agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and BOMs
Assemble and wire LV distribution panels, control panels, and sub-assemblies
Cut, strip, crimp, label, and terminate cables to a high standard
Install trunking, cable looms, terminals, busbars, breakers, contractors, relays, meters, and sockets
Carry out basic electrical testing (continuity, insulation resistance, functional checks)
Identify and report drawing errors, missing components, or build issues
Work to production schedules and build deadlines
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

About You

Proven experience as a Panel Wire person, Electrical Fitter, or LV Panel Builder
Experience wiring and testing low-voltage (400

VAC) distribution panels
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
Strong attention to detail and quality of work
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of BS EN 61439, BS 7671, and switch gear up to 630A is desirable
