We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Design Technology to lead a dynamic department at a forward-thinking secondary school near Braintree. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to shape the future of DT education and drive excellence across the curriculum.

• Lead and manage the Design Technology department, including curriculum planning and staff development
• Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
• Champion practical, project-based learning in areas such as product design, engineering, textiles, and food technology
• Oversee the use and maintenance of specialist equipment and workshop spaces
• Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching Design Technology
• Strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach
• A clear vision for high-quality DT provision
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
