This is a full-time, on-site role for a Restorative Practitioner:
Case Specialist based in Brainerd, MN. The Case Specialist will coordinate and facilitate restorative justice processes, engaging victims, offenders, and community members in dialogue to address the harm caused. Responsibilities include managing caseloads, conducting intake assessments, preparing participants for restorative meetings, and maintaining detailed case records. The role also involves community outreach, education on restorative practices, and collaboration with stakeholders, including community organizations and criminal justice professionals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and the ability to foster dialogue
- Experience with conflict resolution, mediation, or restorative practices
- Ability to manage caseloads, conduct intake assessments, and maintain organized and accurate records
- Experience in community engagement, facilitation, and workshops, with a focus on restorative principles
- Familiarity with the criminal justice system and restorative justice processes is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including victims, offenders, and community representatives
- Bachelor's degree in social work, conflict resolution, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred
- Commitment to fostering a healthy, inclusive community and upholding the principles of restorative justice
