The Facilities Technician will oversee maintenance and repair of all CTC facilities and grounds. This position will maintain equipment, vehicles, and structures and ensure buildings and grounds are maintained. May construct small projects.

Supervision Received:
Works under the direction of the Director of Network Operations and/or Senior Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of general building and grounds repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Skill in operating various hand and power tools.
- Skill in operating various grounds and maintenance equipment including mower, weed eater, snow blower, forklift, Skid Steer, truck and trailer.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain all safety standards.
- Ability to obtain health card or CDL license.
- Ability to obtain or have a Boiler Operator's License.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent, plus one to two years' experience in facilities maintenance and support. Must hold or be able to obtain forklift certification within 3 months of employment and understand OSHA regulations. Must be able to obtain Boiler Operator's license within 6 months of employment. Existing Boiler Operator's License preferred. Valid MN driver's license and health card required. CDL License preferred but not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel
Travel is primarily during the business day. Some overnight travel may be required on a limited basis.

Working Conditions:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to inside conditions that include dust, dirt, odors, oil, fumes, noise, contaminates and vibration. The employee is also regularly exposed to outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, rain, sleet and hail and cold. This position will also be exposed to all types of terrain that includes uneven and slippery ground, undergrowth and vegetation, trees, grass, dust, asphalt, bugs and poisonous plants.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
This factor measures the surroundings and physical conditions under which a job must be done and the extent to which those conditions make the job disagreeable. Consider the presence and relative amount of exposure to dust, dirt, heat, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, wetness, etc.
