Are you the Quality Mill Tech we’re looking for?

To excel as a Quality Assurance Technician at Barrett Petfood, you'll need a strong foundation in basic math, biology, and chemistry to accurately assess and analyze product quality. A keen attention to detail is essential for identifying deviations from our strict GMPs and safety protocols, ensuring that every ingredient and finished product adheres to our high standards. Effective teamwork and communication skills are crucial, as you'll collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of quality and safety.

Additionally, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally is necessary to manage raw materials and samples. If you possess these skills and a commitment to excellence, you'd be an invaluable asset to our production team.

• Inspect and sample incoming grains and raw materials for quality and contamination risks
• Verify flour grind specifications
• Sample collection and testing. Perform analytical testing (GA analysis, mycotoxin screening)
• Maintain lab equipment and cleanliness
• Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and preventive controls
• Document and review production records for accuracy and compliance
• Investigate non-conformances and support corrective actions
• Ensure and verify that plant departments and employees are adhering to the quality standards and guidelines of the company
• Actively monitor and enforce company GMP's
• Prepare and maintain departmental forms and documents. Monitor the completion of paperwork by other departments
