HGV C+E Driver - Nights

Job Overview

Freeway Recruitment is seeking Class 1 Night Drivers for a temporary role. The driver will handle Class 1 (HGV C+E) duties during day shifts with start times available via online application.

Work for our customer who specializes in warehousing, general transport and distribution. Duties include national and regional delivery of goods, executing RDC-to-RDC single drops or 1–3 deliveries/collections for night work. Ensuring all goods are safely strapped and not overloaded in accordance with product nature and legal weight limits. Communicate with site contacts for briefing of delivery runs, including loading or safe transportation of goods.

Complete the hirer's shift delivery schedule which may include deliveries, collections, internal runs, and any reasonable overtime. There is no set finish time due to the nature of professional driving work.

• Have a full and valid Class 1 Licence held for a minimum of 12 months and driven consecutively for one year.
• No more than 6 points on the licence with no DR, DD, IN, CD or other endorsements that lead to a ban.
• Have a full and valid Tacho card and an in-date valid CPC Qualification with card.
• Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practices and procedures at all times.
• Be reliable and have excellent time‑keeping.
• Have a flexible 'can do' attitude to your work.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times.
• Have excellent geographic knowledge of the UK road network.
• Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic.
• Present a smart appearance as you represent Freeway Recruitment and our client.

£17.00 per hour (£19.05 per hour when holiday pay is paid out).
