Despatch Operative – Shaw Management Solutions

Temp to Perm, £12.73 p/hr, 39 hrs per week, Days, Overtime

Location:

Bradford / Leeds – primarily based in Bradford but required to work at the Leeds factory regularly. Own transport is essential.

• Despatching approximately 30 orders per day, working to a daily deadline.
• Identifying and picking parts from the stores warehouse and retrieving parts from other locations across the site.
• Packing parts using boxes, crates, and pallets ready for shipping.
• Using specialized packing, strapping and weight machines.
• Booking parts in and out using SAP.
• Creating customer despatch notes.
• Booking consignments, creating labels and daily manifests onto external carrier computer systems (DPD, Fed Ex, Freight Route, etc.).
• Assisting with the loading of parcels and pallets onto carrier vehicles, either by hand or forklift (FLT).
• Dealing directly with customer collections.
• Liaising with dispatch courier drivers.

• Previous warehouse or dispatch experience is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to a strict daily deadline.
• Computer literacy with SAP experience.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Can work unsupervised and use own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Counterbalance FLT licenses are desirable.
• Proven track record of working with quality initiatives.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.

Core hours: 7:00‑3:30 pm Mon–Thu, finish 2:30 pm on Friday. Flexibility required to cover both locations; overtime paid at time +½.
