Overview
Are you ready for a new Challenge? Do you have the passion and drive to support Children, Young People and their families around their mental health and wellbeing? We are seeking a Project Worker who is willing to be trained in the WRAP delivery model (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) to support Children and Young People in need of our services across the Bradford district.
The WRAP service provides early intervention/prevention support to children and young people (5–18 years of age / 25 years for young people with additional needs) to support their emotional wellbeing and mental health. You will facilitate groupwork (Wellbeing Recovery Action Plan) to support the needs of the young people across the district, enabling them with tools to support their own wellbeing. You will be based in our Bradford office (Lister hills).
Responsibilities- Support WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) groups for young people within school and community-based settings.
- Provide quality intervention support to individuals and groups of children and young people.
- Report safeguarding concerns in line with Barnardo's safeguarding policy and record safeguarding concerns accordingly.
- Collect and input data to monitor, record and evaluate the work undertaken.
- Complete initial and closing assessments with young people referred to the WRAP service.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and represent the service at multi-agency meetings as required.
- Support participation initiatives, e.g., young people’s interview panels and peer support groups.
- Encourage and support young people to become WRAP Peer Mentors.
- Work flexibly across localities delivering assessments and supporting WRAP groups to young people within community settings and schools.
- Desirable: be trained in WRAP level 1 & 2.
- Driver – Essential: access to a private vehicle as this service supports children and young people across Bradford district.
- Collect and input data to monitor, record and evaluate the work undertaken.

Although this contract has a permanent status, please be aware that this post is subject to funding currently to 31st March 2027; should this funding not be extended, you may be subject to redundancy consultation or a TUPE arrangement. The contract is due to expire on 31st March 2027.
