As a Store Layout Planner, you will be at the heart of our mission to make our core supermarkets great again. You will project manage major category interventions, ensuring our stores have logical customer flows and optimised space allocation that truly serves our customers' needs.
From managing intelligent store drawings to collaborating with cross‑functional experts, you will play a vital role in translating business strategy into physical store layouts that drive sales and improve the colleague experience.
- Leading major category interventions and overseeing a high volume of individual drawing updates throughout the year.
- Analysing sales performance and space to provide stores with the correct layout during interventions and ad‑hoc projects.
- Working closely with Retail, Customer Insight, and Format Design teams to ensure layouts are competitive and actionable.
- Incorporating feedback from both customers and colleagues to ensure changes benefit the shopping experience while minimising disruption.
- Delivering category interventions in the most cost‑effective manner while ensuring the customer offer remains the key focus.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a blend of analytical thinking and technical proficiency. You should have:
- The ability to proficiently use AutoCAD
- You can manage multiple data sources and make trade‑offs between conflicting objectives to optimise space and layout.
- Experience in retail operations and a solid understanding of how store design impacts customer behaviour and sales.
- The ability to present macro space solutions to stakeholders and champion the needs of the customer in every decision.
- A knack for working at pace, championing change, and simplifying complex problems to meet strict programme deadlines.
