Position: Part‑time Registered Nurse - Addiction/Rehabilitation
Location: Oasis Recovery Communities, Bradford
Salary: £33,000 per annum pro rata (£14.51 per hour)
On average, 25 hours per week, 12.5-hour shifts days and nights

Week 1: 2 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice in full accordance with NMC guidelines and the NMC Code of Conduct
    , ensuring safe, ethical, and evidence‑based care at all times
  • Support the Centre Manager and Lead Nurse in developing, implementing, and reviewing clinical action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, person‑centred recovery and detoxification programmes
    .
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments, including triage, risk assessments
    , and structured withdrawal monitoring using tools such as COWS and CIWA‑Ar
    .
  • Administer and manage prescribed medications, including Librium
    , in line with clinical protocols, monitoring effectiveness and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Provide direct clinical care and develop, implement, and review individualised treatment and detox plans.
  • Act as a first responder to clinical and medical emergencies, following escalation and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including case notes, MAR charts, and statutory records
    .
  • Participate in clinical audits, service reviews, and service‑user feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Support nurse inductions and provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to newly appointed staff.
  • Supervise junior staff and volunteers as required, promoting safe practice and professional development.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained across the clinical environment, including accommodation, cleanliness, catering, and maintenance
What We’re Looking For
  • Registered Nurse (RGN / RMN) with current NMC registration
    .
  • Experience in detoxification, substance misuse, mental health, or acute clinical settings
    .
  • Strong working knowledge of withdrawal management tools (e.g.
    COWS, CIWA‑Ar
    ) and detox medications such as Librium
    .
  • Confident in risk assessment, triage, and emergency response
    .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
    .
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate clinical record-keeping.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in addiction or residential rehabilitation services
    .
  • Experience supporting or supervising junior staff.
  • Knowledge of clinical audit processes and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Experience contributing to service development or action planning.
