A well-established manufacturing company based in Bradford is currently looking to recruit an experienced Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to support its engineering function within a medium-sized manufacturing plant.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production machinery through both reactive and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing equipment

* Responding to breakdowns and completing effective mechanical repairs

* Fault finding on mechanical systems including bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and pneumatics

* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

* Working closely with production to minimise downtime

* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards

The Ideal Candidate :

You will be a mechanically biased engineer with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Ideally, you will have:

* Strong mechanical maintenance experience

* Background in reactive and preventative maintenance

* Experience working within a manufacturing plant environment

* Basic electrical knowledge (advantageous but not essential)

* A proactive, hands-on approach and strong problem-solving skills
