Warehouse & Logistics Manager – Bradford (BD7)

Location: Two warehouses on the same industrial estate

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility to meet business needs

Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

As part of our continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to take ownership of our warehouse and transport operations across two sites in Bradford.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and capable Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead, organise, and continuously improve our warehouse and logistics operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing two warehouses on the same industrial estate (both of a manageable scale)
  • Leading, supporting, and developing the warehouse team (Approx. team of
    8)
  • Reviewing and improving warehouse processes including picking, packing, and dispatch
  • Taking responsibility for in‑house transport, including route planning and Operator’s Licence responsibilities
  • Managing relationships with external logistics partners (pallet networks, couriers, and freight providers)
  • Supporting compliant export shipping, including required documentation and working with customs agents where needed
  • Setting, monitoring, and improving key performance metrics such as OTIF, picking accuracy, and delivery performance
  • Managing and monitoring stock and location accuracy
  • Working cross‑department to resolve queries or issues
  • Overseeing health and safety standards within the warehouse, including FLT operations and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Managing the company car and van fleet (1 x 18T Rigid), including MOTs, servicing schedules, insurance, compliance, incidents/accidents and related administration
  • Working closely with Production, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth and reliable order fulfilment
  • Supporting Debar’s move towards more digital and structured warehouse and logistics processes

Our aim is to build a well‑organised, efficient, and reliable warehouse and logistics operation that consistently delivers for our customers.

Essential Experience & Skills

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience managing a warehouse in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Existing Level 3 CPC Qualification or equivalent
  • Valid Full UK Drivers Licence with no criminal convictions related to transport/logistic offences (CPC requirement)
  • Strong knowledge of picking, packing, and stock control processes
  • Experience managing or working closely with in‑house transport and understanding Operator’s Licence responsibilities
  • Experience working with external logistics providers (pallet networks, couriers, freight forwarders)
  • Experience with export shipping and associated documentation
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a warehouse team
  • A data‑driven leader, with experience setting and monitoring KPIs to understand performance
  • Practical experience using an ERP or WMS system in conjunction with handheld scanners, plus the ability to navigate systems to investigate issues, and resolve transactional errors (e.g. Business Central or similar)
  • Experience overseeing warehouse health & safety and FLT operations
  • Experience managing company vehicles, servicing, or fleet administration
Desirable Experience & Skills

The following would provide a distinct advantage, but are not essential:

  • Experience implementing or improving new warehouse technologies (e.g. scanners, barcoding, digital processes)
  • Experience managing multiple warehouse sites
  • A formal logistics or supply chain qualification
  • FLT experience/licence
