Finance Director - TL Dallas

TL Dallas are one of the UK'sleading independent insurance broking, independent financial services & risk management groups, with offices spanning the UK. A 4th generation business with strong family values, deep regional roots, and an enduring reputation for trust and service.

As the business continues to grow and evolve, it now seeks a Finance Director who can combine technical excellence with commercial drive.

This is a pivotal appointment. Working in close partnership with the Main and Operational Board, you’ll bring clarity, challenge and energy to the next stage of TL Dallas’ development. You’ll lead the finance function with a clear focus on scalability, efficiency and control
, introducing technology‑led systems that strengthen compliance, improve data visibility and create a platform for sustainable growth.

Once the foundations are firmly in place, your attention will turn to strategic and commercial delivery
— partnering across the group to identify efficiencies, streamline processes and helping to identify further opportunities for organic and acquisitive growth. You’ll play a proactive role in shaping the commercial strategy of the business, working as a genuine right hand to the Owners and SLT, and using management information to inform and inspire decision‑making.

Success will require more than accounting skill. You’ll need the curiosity to question, the empathy to influence, and the confidence to bring balanced, constructive challenge. You’ll motivate and empower a capable team, embedding accountability and ownership while keeping a close eye on detail. The environment is open and collegiate; good humour, perspective and people sense will go a long way.

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA)with experience of a regulated environment
who combines a meticulous approach with commercial breadth. Someone who sees beyond the numbers — who can use data to drive insight, efficiency and profitability, and who enjoys helping talented people and good businesses become even better.
