Field Service Technician / Engineer - Bradford

We have a great job opportunity available at nGeneration for a Field Service Engineer. This role requires the ability to identify and fix hardware and configuration issues, as well as repair hardware devices. Excellent client interaction skills are essential.

HOME LOCATION REQUIRED
Bradford & surrounding area.

Salary: £28,678 per annum (Including On-Call Supplement)

Job Type:
Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 13 Hour Shifts, 3 Days on 3 Days off rota (inclusive of weekends and bank holidays)

Requirements:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential)
• Willingness to travel to client sites daily (100% travel preferred)
• Technical mindset with logical, methodical troubleshooting approach
• Experience or knowledge in identifying faults with data network cables; IT installations, Electronic Equipment Installation, or similar environment preferable
• Experience in IT support or EPOS (preferred)

Duties:

• Visit client locations to install, refurbish, and maintain EPoS equipment, chip and pin devices, tablets, digital menu boards, media screens, kitchen management systems, routers, Wi-Fi, and other IT equipment
• Provide on-site equipment swap-out services to minimise downtime
• Set up Wi-Fi devices and diagnose faults with data network cables on-site
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues during site visits and escalate when needed
• Document troubleshooting steps and obtain client sign-off on completion

Travel:
North West, Central, South East & South West regions with UK-wide travel and overnight stays when required

Experience:

• 1 year IT support experience (preferred)
• 1 year EPOS experience (preferred)
