We are interested in welcoming new staff into our busy and dynamic mental health team. The successful candidate will engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships.

We have a range of services including a mental health city wide Floating support team, accommodation based services for people with mental health issues and new to open autism services.

The role of a support worker includes visiting service users in their own homes or in other settings and offering practical support to enable them to live independently whilst offering emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans.

Your role is varied from day-to-day, for example one day you could be helping a service user to complete a housing benefit form or assist an anxious service user to visit the supermarket; the next day you could be assisting someone to set up a bank account or direct debit to pay their utility bills.

If you have excellent interpersonal skills and are supportive, proactive, responsible, good at motivating people and listening to others then we would like to hear from you.

Experience of working in the care and support sector is preferred; however, if you are looking to join the health and social care sector but also share our drive, values and passion for helping people with mental health needs, then we would also like to hear from you.

This role does not involve delivering personal care. It is beneficial if you are a car driver. You must have good verbal and written communication skills. We appreciate flexibility from all our staff and hence we can be flexible around working hours, it is a large team and we are looking for a diverse range of skills.
