We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and aspiring Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience within a Hospital Foundation Trust and develop your skills in a supportive environment.
We are recruiting to our Intermediate Care Team on a 12-month fixed‑term contract. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about older people's rehabilitation and committed to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care. The service is predominantly in‑patient based, though our therapy team also provides home‑based rehabilitation, offering valuable variety and breadth of experience.
All team members are allocated a named clinical supervisor and benefit from a structured in‑service training programme tailored to each rotation, alongside weekly clinical reasoning sessions. You will also be supported by a wider multidisciplinary team, including static and rotational Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and administrative staff.

Qualifications- Appropriate/relevant undergraduate course: BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) or relevant professional qualification
- Registrant of HCPC
- Member of RCOT
- Undergraduate clinical placement experience working in older people's rehabilitation, intermediate care, or acute care.
- Post‑graduate experiences working in older people's rehabilitation, intermediate care, or acute care.
- To exercise a professional duty of care and be accountable for own professional actions.
- To know scope of practice.
- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality.
- Willing to work flexible hours as required.
- To participate in evening and weekend rotas when required.
- UK Driving Licence Holder / access to a car for work purposes (reasonable adjustment will be considered).
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
