Accountant - Convenience Loss Prevention

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Convenience Finance team, supporting the Convenience Operations function here at Morrisons.

In this role, you’ll play an important part in helping the business function understand and improve cost performance across a number of key cost lines.

As a Finance Business Partner you will work closely with senior management within the Convenience Operations team. You’ll provide accurate analysis, clear reporting, and valuable insight to support decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

• Producing accurate and timely reports that highlight key trends, risks and opportunities within the cost areas.

• Identify cost drivers and conduct analysis and investigations to support cost reduction recommendations.

• Partnering with the Convenience Operations teams and wider Finance teams to provide insight that supports day-to-day and strategic decisions.

• Lead on the forecasting, budgeting and month-end processes, ensuring accurate reflection of performance.

• Supporting process improvements to make reporting and analysis more efficient and effective.

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong analytical and commercial skills.

• Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems (experience with Excel and SAP or similar systems is a plus).

• Curious and proactive, with the confidence to question and explore the story behind the numbers.

• Able to work independently while building strong relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

• Detail-oriented and organised, with a focus on delivering accurate and actionable insight.
