Role: Electrical Field Service Engineer
Location: Leeds (UK-wide travel required)
Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our team, specialising in LV/MV. This is a field-based role, the successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Install and commissioning of LV/MV switch gear systems, including functional testing, protection relay configuration, and system integration
- Perform pre-commissioning checks, insulation resistance testing and fault diagnostics
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Liaise with clients, project managers and internal teams to support smooth project delivery
- Provide technical support and fault-finding during and after commissioning
- Carry out Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to customer specifications
- Complete commissioning reports, test records and technical documentation
- Participate in site surveys, risk assessments and method statement preparation
- Support the training and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians when required
- ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Experience commissioning LV/MV switch gear
- Experience working with protection relays
- Knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel (UK and occasional international travel) and work flexible hours, including weekends when required
- Full UK driving licence
