Modeller

We are looking for a highly skilled Modeller to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water. The role is based in Bradford with hybrid working – 2–3 days per week in the office.

• Develop high‑quality urban drainage models to support hydraulic and environmental water quality assessments.
• Contribute to long‑term strategic planning for wastewater management.
• Support delivery of key regulatory outputs, including the Storm Overflow Discharge Reduction Plan, WINEP, and DWMP.
• Shape technical guidance and drive innovation in modelling practices.
• Collaborate with leading contract partners and internal teams on investigative and delivery programmes.
• Apply and develop expertise across urban drainage, river hydraulics and water quality modelling.
• Engage in AMP8 environmental programmes and future investment planning to improve outcomes for customers and the environment.

• A degree in a relevant discipline with urban drainage modelling experience.
• Competent in specialist modelling software, e.g. Info Works ICM used within Yorkshire Water.
• Knowledge of how sewerage systems operate.
• Strong data manipulation, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an eye for detail.
• Understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic calculations.
• A working knowledge of GIS software.
• Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) and to maintain strong working relationships.

• Competitive salary £44,000 – £55,000 plus annual incentive £1,000.
