Location
Bradford, hybrid working 2 office days per week.
Employment Type
Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be accountable for the commercial assurance of all financial and contractual aspects of contracted works in relation to a portfolio of schemes associated with the Yorkshire Waters Capital Programme.
- Assure project budgets, support negotiations with partners and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, evaluate financial risks and support success by overseeing financial aspects.
- Support the Commercial and Contracts Manager in developing and implementing commercial strategies and procedures and identifying new commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate with Capital Delivery Programme Managers and Project Managers to optimise contract performance and deliver contracts within budget and on schedule.
- Support development and implementation of contract administration, risk assessment, and procurement strategies.
- Provide guidance and support in risk management, cost control, and budget control.
- Seek to improve value and achieve consistent cycle times through increased commercial controls.
- Procurement and contract strategy development and implementation
- Development and implementation of key commercial controls
- Cost assurance pre and post contract
- Process applications for payment from partners
- Forecast assurance
- Change control assurance
- Contract administration assurance
- Supply chain management and procurement support
- Further developing commercial behaviours suitable to a multi‑party collaborative enterprise
- Knowledge of administration associated with construction contracts
- Ability to identify, quantify and control commercial risks
- Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts or other industry standard conditions of contract
- Professional qualification or working towards a professional qualification
- Ability to work with all stakeholders and provide guidance to support key commercial outcomes
- Understanding and usage of framework agreements
- Experience in an Alliance environment
- Knowledge of developing commercial processes and procedures
- Experience in supplier relationship management
- Experience or knowledge of behavioural management techniques and tools
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in water / utilities or wider infrastructure sector
Flexible Working
Hybrid setup: on average two days in the office per week, may be more for collaboration or training.
