SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of Primary and SEND schools across Bradford. Our partner schools provide inclusive, nurturing, and structured learning environments for children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
This role requires candidates to be available full-time and willing to travel across Bradford to support different school settings where required.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH, and complex learning needs. Graduates or experienced support staff with the right attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils with ASC, SEMH, and complex needs in classroom and 1:1 settings
- Help children access learning, develop independence, and build confidence
- Use communication tools, visual aids, and structured routines to support engagement
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Support personal care needs (toileting, dressing, hygiene) where required
- Caring, patient, and resilient nature
- Genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, proactive, and willing to travel across Bradford
- Available full-time
- Experience in a school or SEN setting is desirable
- Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field is advantageous
- Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or sensory regulation strategies is beneficial (training provided)
