SEN Specialist Teacher – Primary (Resourced Provision)

Location: Bradford
Start Date: Monday 23rd February (after Feb half term)
Contract: Full-time (potentially until Friday 27th March)
Type: Long-term / Temporary

Milk Education are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Bradford
, who are looking to appoint a strong SEN Specialist Teacher to work within their resourced provision
.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND Teacher who is confident planning and delivering tailored learning for pupils with additional needs.

The Role:

As a SEN Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils within the resourced provision
  • Taking full responsibility for planning, preparation and assessment (with allocated PPA time
    )
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND including ASD, SEMH and complex learning needs
  • Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Working closely with support staff, SENCO and wider professionals
  • Promoting independence, inclusion and positive behaviour strategies
  • Supporting pupil wellbeing alongside academic development
Essential Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Confident in planning and delivering tailored interventions and lessons
  • Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills

    Flexible, resilient and proactive approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
Desirable:
  • Experience working within a resourced provision / specialist setting
  • Team Teach or positive handling training (not essential)
  • Experience supporting EHCP targets
