SEN Specialist Teacher – Primary (Resourced Provision)
Location: Bradford
Start Date: Monday 23rd February (after Feb half term)
Contract: Full-time (potentially until Friday 27th March)
Type: Long-term / Temporary
Milk Education are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Bradford
, who are looking to appoint a strong SEN Specialist Teacher to work within their resourced provision
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND Teacher who is confident planning and delivering tailored learning for pupils with additional needs.
The Role:As a SEN Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils within the resourced provision
- Taking full responsibility for planning, preparation and assessment (with allocated PPA time
) - Supporting pupils with a range of SEND including ASD, SEMH and complex learning needs
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Working closely with support staff, SENCO and wider professionals
- Promoting independence, inclusion and positive behaviour strategies
- Supporting pupil wellbeing alongside academic development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND
- Confident in planning and delivering tailored interventions and lessons
- Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Flexible, resilient and proactive approach - Ability to work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
- Experience working within a resourced provision / specialist setting
- Team Teach or positive handling training (not essential)
- Experience supporting EHCP targets
