SHS Family Support Practitioner (School Practitioner)
Location: One in a Million Free School, Bradford.
Hours: 35 hours per week – 5 days per week. Monday – Friday term time only plus inset days, plus 4 weeks (20 working days) to be completed over the school holidays.
Salary: £24,271 – £27,020 per annum depending on experience (This is the actual salary).
Contract type: Permanent

Interview dates: 1‑stage interviews will be held online between 2nd and 6th February 2026, with the second interview in school the week commencing 9th February 2026.

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our team and to make a difference in children’s lives every single day. As a Family Support Worker, you will work in close partnership with families and school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children we support.
You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality, engagement in learning, improved behaviour in school and the local community, as well as improving social and emotional regulation and well‑being.
You will have excellent relationship‑building and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.
Key Responsibilities- Work and engage with parents, carers or guardians, children or individuals through individual and/or group‑based support.
- Provide family support in an educational or outreach environment.
- Address social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn.
- Work with families from diverse communities.
