Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented individual to help foster a caring and supportive learning environment for our young people. Your experience of pastoral care will place our learners’ welfare at the heart of the school. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to problem solve and provide excellent customer service to our community.

You will have:

• Degree or significant demonstrable experience in improving attendance in a school setting.
• Experience of working in an administrative setting.
• An understanding of the societal challenges facing young people and how these can impact on low attendance and aspirations.
• The ability to use MS Office software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Explorer and databases.
• The ability to prioritise, work efficiently and accurately, particularly under pressure, to deadlines and using own initiative.

The responsibilities are reflected in the requirements above and the role is to support attendance improvements, administrative tasks and learner welfare within the school environment.

Tong Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art secondary school in Bradford. We joined Star Academies in 2016 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.
