SEMH Specialist

The Education Network is currently recruiting a dedicated and resilient SEMH Specialist to support children and young people with social, emotional & mental health needs across educational settings.

The Role

As a SEMH Specialist, you will:

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, including challenging behaviour & emotional regulation difficulties
  • Provide consistent, structured support both in and out of the classroom
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement behaviour & support plans
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement & progress
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing & social development
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs, ideally in a specialist or alternative provision
  • Calm, patient, & resilient approach to behaviour management
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice & positive behaviour strategies
  • Excellent communication & teamwork skills
  • Relevant SEMH, SEN, or behaviour support training is desirable
