This role is ideal for Teaching Assistants who are confident supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and are looking for flexible or consistent work.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with SEMH needs within mainstream, SEND and integrated resource provisions. Roles range from day-to-day cover to long-term placements
, depending on your availability and preference. You will play a key role in creating a stable, nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, including behaviour regulation and emotional support
- Support teachers with lesson delivery and adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Implement positive behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and consistency
- Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers and relevant professionals
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of support
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures to maintain pupil safety and wellbeing
- Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs
- Confidence managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- Ability to adapt across day-to-day, short-term and long-term cover
