Location: Bradford
Salary: £88–£115 per day
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025

Some pupils need more than just a lesson plan—they need you.
We’re looking for a calm, consistent, and caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a nurturing Bradford school setting. If you’re the kind of person who builds trust, sees beyond the behaviour, and shows up with patience every day, this role could be a perfect fit.

What the role involves:

  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups with SEMH needs

  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and re-engage with learning

  • Using trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation strategies

  • Building meaningful relationships and modelling calm behaviour

  • Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and pastoral teams

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or challenging behaviour (school-based or other settings)

  • A resilient, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

  • Team player mindset—you’ll be part of a caring, collaborative staff community

  • Relevant training (Team Teach, MAPA, Thrive) is a bonus—but not essential

Why work with Protocol Education?

  • Weekly PAYE pay—no umbrella companies here

  • Free access to our CPD Academy, including behaviour and SEMH training

  • Friendly, local consultant support from people who genuinely listen

  • Opportunities in mainstream, PRU, and SEND settings across Bradford
