We are seeking a skilled Dental Technician Trainer to join our team and provide technical support, demonstrations, and training to students across various areas of dental technology. This is an exciting opportunity to use your technical expertise to inspire and mentor the next generation of dental professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide technical help and demonstrate dental technology techniques across all areas of dental technology during practical sessions
- Offer continuous support for students during practical sessions, helping them refine their skills and understanding
- Ensure that all equipment is ready and available for use, including the preparation of models, casts, and materials
- Maintain and clean equipment on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly), ensuring it is in excellent working order for practical sessions
- Take responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of plaster rooms and classrooms after practical sessions, ensuring a safe and tidy working environment
- Order necessary materials and ensure that stock levels are adequate for practical sessions
- Ensure full compliance with safety protocols, including maintaining a COSHH folder, completing risk assessments, and ensuring safe storage of materials
- Work closely with faculty members to provide technical guidance and support during lectures and practical workshops
- Ideally GDC registered
- Proven experience as a Dental Technician, with a strong practical background in dental technology
- Knowledge of dental techniques and materials, with the ability to demonstrate them clearly to students
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to ensure the smooth operation of practical sessions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students and staff
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols in the practical environment
- A proactive and supportive approach to student learning, with a passion for mentoring and teaching
As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £28,207- £32,917 per annum (this will be pro rata to the hours work) based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
